Hi, I'm Stephen
I’m a New York licensed CPA and native New Yorker. Born and raised in Southern Brooklyn, I know firsthand the realities of everyday life in this evolving city, and I’m dedicated to helping my fellow neighbors realize their goals and succeed.
I've worked in a variety of industries and environments, giving me a unique and diverse background. I have experience in Big 4 public accounting, a fortune 500 bank, local small restaurants and private high-net worth family offices. I offer big-firm precision and insights to every small business I serve.
My passion for entrepreneurship began at a young age. My father used to tell me stories of when he operated a bar and club outside of Athens, Greece. He taught me firsthand that business isn’t just about numbers, it’s about people. He always stressed that relationships were the foundation of any business. This advice feels more relevant than ever for my small business partners. In today’s age of big business and tech, connection and authenticity are what helps smaller-scale operations stand out.
Working for my family’s restaurant Esperanto (East Village), I’ve experienced it all. From early morning prep to late-night closing shifts, POS systems to payroll, and even navigating the complex tax filings… I’ve managed it all. All to say, I understand the day-to-day challenges of operating a restaurant as well as the rewards of running a business in the greatest city in the world.
I don’t consider myself your stereotypical accountant. I’m not some guy in a suit that just hands you a balance sheet. I understand taxes inside and out, in addition to the difficulties small businesses face everyday. I am a true consultant and partner that understands the constant hustle, because I lived it. My strategies are data-driven, but delivered with a human touch. I recognize that a great tax strategy is useless if it’s too complicated to carry out or if it doesn’t align with your long-term financial and business goals.
